AGOPPE RESEARCH MODEL
MCPS students use the AGOPPE research model to help guide the research process. The AGOPPE research model is a logical approach to completing inquiry projects. See below for details about each step in the process.
1. A= Ask Questions

---Analyze the problem and develop questions
2. G= Gather Information
---Gather keywords based on questions
---Choose the best source of information (books, Internet, etc.)
---Search for the information
---Record notes and bibliographic information
3. O= Organize Information
---Summarize your findings
---Draw conclusions and inferences
---Use a graphical organizer to arrange the information
4. P= Prepare Information
---Decide the best way to use to communicate the information
---Prepare a first draft
---Prepare a bibliography
5. P= Present Information
---Revise your first draft
---Prepare your final product
---Present the product to your audience
